PC to ACR JR. Communications


Nothing is simpler to use than the ACR JR. single-channel temperature data logger. The ACR JR. automatically records the temperature every two minutes; no setup is required. To retrieve the data from the JR., run the software program and simply plug the JR. into your PC's serial port. The software will find the logger and then display a graph of the recorded temperature vs. time

Software Features


Logged temperature data is displayed on a scrolling window that permits fine analysis of large data sets. The scroll bar at the bottom of your graph window allows you to pinpoint critical areas of data. Print your temperature graph with ease using any Windows® supported printer or save the data on your hard drive for future reference. Temperature units can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit. If you prefer to use Excel®, Lotus® or other popular spreadsheet programs, data can be exported into several ASCII formats.

PC to POWERWATCH Communications


To setup, download, or view realtime information from a POWERWATCH Voltage Disturbance Recorder, all that is required is an LIC-101 Interface Cable that communicates with visible light. Simply aim the LIC-101 at the Optical Port and communication will begin automatically. An LIC-101 cable is included with the POWERWATCH Interface Package. No tools, interface cards or docking stations required.

ACR POWERWATCH

Statistical Analysis


A large number of events can be quickly analyzed by using the quick summary option. Quick summary totals all the surge, sag and impulse events and displays all of their occurrences individually in a bar graph format. This format helps determine power quality trends quickly and effectively.
 

Event Distribution Graph


The Event Distribution Graph plots the magnitude of events against duration on a logarithmic scale, allowing you to determine the importance of the data. (A single random event may not be as important as a cluster of events.) The Event Distribution Graph helps you to determine what kind of power quality problems you have, and to decide what kind of protection is best. All 4000 events can be plotted on this graph. You have the choice of analyzing hot to neutral events or neutral to ground, and of showing both in different colors. The CBEMA Curve can be used to determine the importance of each event.

PC to Bottle Logger Communications


To setup, download or view realtime information from an ACR Bottle Data Logger; all that's required is an ACR IC-101 Interface Cable. Connection is simple. You can communicate through water, glass and even ice up to 1" away (distance may vary depending on nature of material). An LIC-101 cable is included with the OWL Interface Package. Realtime graphing allows you to visually detect potential problems before they turn into disasters. Since ACR Data Loggers accumulate historical data, you can still look back and analyze logged information. Data accumulated by RealTime Graphing Software can be saved for later use, exported to ASCII formats for spreadsheet programs such as Excel and Lotus. ACR Talk-Back Software automatically downloads logged information and responds to SmartReader Plus alarms.

Autobackup Feature


Talk-Back Software can be setup to download logged data from any ACR SmartReader Plus Data Logger that is located on a local or remote ACR data logger network. It will call the logger by modem or contact the logger if on a local network, download the logged information, and save it to your hard drive at a user-set interval. This will prevent you from having to manually backup logged data when the logger's memory becomes full.

Alarm Indicating Feature


Talk-Back Software can be setup to receive all tripped alarms that are setup in the SmartReader Plus Data Logger. When the logger measures an exceeded value on any of its channels, the logger will call the computer with the Talk-Back Software installed. Talk-Back will then run an alarm macro that has been user-set. Macro options include sounds, visual alarms, running of other programs, and calling a pager or cell phone with Caller ID capability.

Note: Compatible with SmartReader Plus Data Loggers with a serial number of 42,508 or higher.
