The GO Switch Model 72 has the smallest diameters (3/8”) of any round leverless limit switch, and is used extensively in factory automation applications.
Mechanically, Model 72 has no external moving parts, no springs or cams, and no reed element, so there is nothing to wear or fail. Its contact chamber is potted and sealed from moisture or contaminants and is completely protected in a one-piece stainless steel housing, including the sensing face. Unlike magnetic reed switches, it is not susceptible to contact teasing, chatter, bounce, or welding.
Electrically, Model 72 delivers the most flexibility in the industry. Its environmentally sealed dry contacts are rated 4amp/120VAC, 3amp/24VDC, and 0.5 amp/125VDC and is suitable for both high and low electrical loads. The
Model 72 can be wired AC or DC, N/O or N/C, consumes no power to operate, and has
no current leakage or voltage drop.
Environmentally, Model 72 leads the industry with UL and CSA certification for use in flameproof, explosion proof, non-incendive, intrinsically safe, and general-purpose applications. In addition, Model 72 is suitable for extreme temperatures (-50°C to 204°C), extreme pressures (up to 10,000psi), and extreme depths (down to 7010 meters).
