Armenian
Spoken as a native language by between 4 and 5 million people in Armenia, Turkey, Iran, Syria, and Lebanon.
Also spoken in; Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, USA, Lebanon, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, France, Iraq,
Bulgaria & Honduras. Because of the presence of many words borrowed in ancient times from Iranian, it was long believed to be an Iranian dialect. Armenian is a member of the Indo-European family of languages, the sole member in its branch of the family.
A total of over 6,000,000 speakers in all countries.
All dialects in all countries usually reported to be inherently intelligible. Unique alphabet. About 30% of Armenians in Armenia speak Russian as second language.
