several dialects of language spoken by the Batak people of Island of Sumatra in
Indonesia. 600,000 total speakers. Central and northern, west and
northwest of Lake Toba. Austronesian, Malayo-Polynesian, Western
Malayo-Polynesian, Sundic, Sumatra, Batak, Northern.
