the national language of Hungary. It is a member of the Ugric branch of
the Finno-Ugric languages, called Magyar by its speakers. Originally spoken on
the eastern slopes of the Ural Mountains, it is now spoken in Hungary and by
Hungarians living in neighboring countries.
There
are 10,000,000 speakers in Hungary and a significant number of speakers in;
Romania, Ukraine, Slovakia, USA, Slovenia, Canada, Austria, Boznia-Herzegovina,
Australia and Israel.
