Irish
Irish (Gaelic Irish) is an
Indo-European language with several dialects. It is one of the official
languages of Ireland and spoken by nearly 300,000 native speakers. These
three languages (Irish, Scottish & Manx Gaelic) are spoken in Ireland, Man
and Scotland. The Gaels are the peoples who speak these languages or did so in
the past. A small pocket of Irish speakers is located in the northeastern
United States.
