Kashmiri
Kashmiri is an Indo-European
language which is a unique language in the Indian linguistic context. It
is analytic like the modern languages of Sanskritic stock and synthetic like the
old Indo-Aryan. It is spoken by over 4,000,000 with the majority being in
India and a about 100,000 in Pakistan. It is one of India's eighteen
constitutionally approved languages.
