Ojibwe
Ojibwe (Ojibwa, Chippewa) is a
language which is thousands of years old and very specific in meaning.
Misunderstandings in word meaning are almost impossible. It is an Algic
language with several dialects which is spoken in the northern United States and
Southern Canada from the central to west of both countries. There is a an
effort to preserve the language and traditions and nearly all speakers also are
fluent in English. There are approximately 50,000 total users of Ojibwe.
