Portuguese is spoken in seven countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and São Tomé spread over five continents, and territories of Macao and East-Timor, as well as in the African, Portuguese and Brazilian communities living throughout the World.
The Portuguese language is one of the
most-widely spoken languages in the world and it is estimated that by the year
2000 it will be spoken by 200 million people.
