The Laureate dual-channel frequency, rate and period meter is a basic operating mode of the Laureate counter with the FR signal conditioner board. Two independent scalable pulse-input channels from 0 Hz to 1 MHz. Channels may be combined arithmetically. One channel can display total while other displays rate. Laureate™ Dual-Channel Up/Down Totalizer With two independently scalable channels & presets
The Laureate dual-channel up or down totalizer is a basic operating mode of the Laureate counter with the FR dual-channel signal conditioner board. One channel can display total while other displays rate. The minimum recommended complementary option for the Laureate totalizer is the dual set point controller output board, which is available with either 10 A relays or AC/DC solid state relays. Each channel (A or B) may be independently set up and scaled to count up from zero (or other value) to a preset limit, Scaling for direct readout in engineering units, such as gallons or cubic feet based on counts from a turbine flow meter.
Laureate™ A/B Ratio & A/B-1 Draw Meters With arithmetic functions applicable to rate or total
The A/B ratio and A/B-1 draw meters are selectable operating modes of the Laureate with Extended counter main board and FR dual-channel signal conditioner board. Arithmetic functions (+, -, /, x) on dual channels A and B open a world of possibilities. For example, add or subtract rates from two flow meters for combined scaled flow or volume. Display the ratio of flow rates, RPM of rollers, or speed of moving belts. Draw, which is obtained by subtracting 1 from ratio, can be used to indicate elongation or shrinkage of material as it passes between rollers.
Laureate™ Pulse Input Batch Controller With three relay outputs for automated batch control
The Laureate batch controller is a powerful and highly accurate production workhorse in the form of a compact 1/8 DIN panel meter. It can display the current batch total (Item #1), grand total or number of batches (Item #2), and flow rate (Item #3). All displayed values are scaled to engineering units of volume or flow.The batch controller utilizes the Extended counter main board and FR dual channel signal conditioner board to accept a wide range of pulse signals, in particular those from turbine flowmeters. Laureate™ 6-Digit Process Meter & Flow Totalizer Rate, analog square root, batch control, and time based on rate from 0-1 mA, 4-20 mA or 0-10 V signals.
Six-digit display of rate or total at the push of a front panel key. with Standard counter main board and a VF voltage-to-frequency signal conditioner board can be scaled to display rate or totalized rate to six digits for 0-1 mA, 4-20 mA or 0-10V analog process signals. Special input ranges are available. The display can be scaled to show flow rate in gallons/minute or liters/sec, or to show volume in gallons or liters from the 0-10V output of a flow transducer. Or the display can be scaled to display power consumption in kilowatts or total utilized energy in kilowatt-hours. Square root extraction is selectable and can be applied to rate or total. This makes the VF Laureate ideal for use with differential pressure flow meters, which have a squared output.
Laureate™ V-to-F Process Receiver & Integrating Totalizer Rate, analog square root, batch control, time based on rate
A Laureate™ meter with the Standard counter main board and a voltage-to-frequency (V-to-F) signal conditioner board is able to accurately extract the square root of analog signals. The display is a full six digits of rate or total at the push of a front panel key. A Laureate with the Standard counter main board and a VF voltage-to-frequency signal conditioner board can be scaled to display rate or totalized rate to six digits for 0-1 mA, 4-20 mA or 0-10V analog process signals. Square root extraction is selectable and can be applied to rate or total. This is ideal for use with differential pressure flow meters, totalized volume is based on linearized rate. Accuracy is one of the highest for any digital panel meter: ±0.005% of span ±1 count.
Laureate™ Time Interval & Stopwatch Meters For periodic time measurement & one-time events
The Laureate™ time interval and stopwatch timers use the FR dual-channel signal conditioner and either the Standard counter main board (time interval) or Extended counter main board (stopwatch). The Laureate stopwatch meter is designed to time single events, such as sporting events or processes, which produce start and stop pulses. It can also time the width of a single pulse. Highest resolution is 0.2 µs, since timing is achieved by counting 5.5 MHz clock pulses. For long intervals, the display is updated continuously during timing. Laureate™ stopwatch timers use the FR dual-channel signal conditioner and Standard counter main board.
Laureate™ Phase Angle & Duty Cycle Meter For offset in degrees & On or Off period in percent
The Laureate™ phase angle and duty cycle meters both use the FR dual-channel signal conditioner board and the Extended counter main board. Phase angle Meter have exceptionally fast response (up to 20 updates per second) and high accuracy for low frequencies, such as AC line frequency. A resolution of 1º, 0.1º or 0.01º is user-selectable. Accuracy is 0.01% up to 100 Hz, 0.1% at 1 kHz, and 1% at 10 kHz. The duty cycle meter displays ON or OFF period as a percentage of total period over a programmed gate time from 10 ms to 199.99 s. A resolution of 1%, 0.1% or 0.01% is user-selectable. Applications include monitoring modulated proportional control systems and pulse-modulated systems, such as radar, lasers or packet radio.
Laureate™ Quadrature Position & Rate Meters Accurate position or rate from quadrature encoders
The Laureate™ quadrature meter with the Standard counter main board accepts the A & B quadrature signals from linear encoders and shaft encoders to provide a highly accurate, scaled display of position, length, or angle in engineering units, such as ft, cm or degrees. The A & B quadrature signals are 90º out of phase, and their phase relationship determines whether up counts (+) or down counts (-) are counted. The meter totalizes the counts and then scales the total in software for display and control. A zero index signal, or Z signal, may be added as a third input to the A & B signals.
